WHEN A QUOTATION IS ONLY A "QUOTATION"

I WAS LURED INTO DEALING WITH SHIPWIT WITH THEIR "QUOTATION". THEY REPRESENTED THAT THEY "HAD DRIVERS" WILLING TO HAUL FOR THEIR QUOTED AMOUNT. THEY LIED. THEY LOW BID THE JOB WITHOUT HAVING ANY DRIVERS WILLING TO HAUL FOR THE LOW AMOUNT. ONCE YOU KNOW HOW THIS BROKER INDUSTRY WORKS YOU FEEL ALMOST SCAMMED. ONCE THE CONSUMER FIGURES THIS ALL OUT, IT IS TOO LATE. THEY HAVE YOUR $170 "DEPOSIT". IF YOU ENGAGE WITH ANY OTHER "SHIPPER" (BROKER!) YOU LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT. YOU MUST WAIT 4 FULL DAYS (WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION FROM THEM AS TO STATUS) BEFORE YOU CAN REQUEST TO TERMINATE THE CONTRACT. THEN WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY, THEY ALL OF A SUDDEN CLAIM TO HAVE A SHIPPER WILLING TO HAUL FOR $XXX MORE AND "LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT US TO NOTIFY THE DRIVER" WHAT BS. CONSUMERS BEWARE. YOURE ON YOUR OWN TO GUESS WHAT IS THE FAIR MARKET RATE IS. YOU CANNOT SEE THE "BOARD" WHERE BIDS ARE POSTED. AND YOU MUST ASCERTAIN THE HAULING FEE AND COMMISSION FEE SEPARATELY TO UNDERSTAND YOUR ACTUAL BID TO HAUL YOUR CAR. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO START THE PROCESS ALL OVER WITH ANOTHER BROKER. THIS TIME, EYES WIDE OPEN, WITH FULL DISCLOSURE BEFORE CONTRACTING THEIR "BROKERAGE" SERVICES. GOOD LUCK ALL. HOPE THIS NEWLY FOUND INFO HELPS A POOR SOLE WITH THIS MISERABLE PROCESS...
