Communication - very poor

I looked at many reviews and got many quotes - I chose Honesty because they were local and because of the reviews. I was rather disappointed. The quote cost went up supposedly due to gas prices but gas prices did not go up but I didn't want to go thru the hassle of changing at that point. I had seen on the site that cross country trips could take from 5-7 days. The person that picked up my car told me 7 days. When I called on the 7th day some one told me 10 days, when I called on the 10 th day I was told they didn't know. I called Dave who told me it would be that night or the next morning. When I hadn't heard I called again and was told by the transport co that it would be 3-4 more days. Dave said they would not use the transport co (Quality) again but not sure I believe him. So much for names of companies.
Fortunately I had friends who allowed me to use their car but I could not really plan my days not knowing when I had to be around to pick up my car. I would have made completely other plans if I knew it was going to take 14 days. Moving is a big stressor and having this complication was no help!
My car arrived - not at the address requested or even the town but I was so glad to get it I did not complain. The outside was dirty but that can be cleaned and there were no nicks or items stolen so that was the good side.

Thank you Jean. It's good that our unhappy customers share their experience, so that you don't get the misconception that every experience with us is a love letter one. We have a few bad experiences too. The delays that she experienced can happen from time to time. Always prepare a Plan B! Two points need clarification: The poor communication was with Quality's office, not ours. David was always available and responsive to help resolve issues as they came up. Also, she requested her quote the first week in April for a move that didn't happen until mid may. We would love to know where she was buying gas that didn't go up during that period. The lesson: ALWAYS double check your price closer to your move date. (and Why does every bad review poke fun at our name?) :(
