This was my first time needing to transport a vehicle, and I found the Transport Reviews website to be very helpful in making my decision about which company to use. I appreciate the transparency on Ship-A-Car-Direct's website - they are upfront about being a broker, and help point out that all brokers use the same central dispatch website, so it really makes zero sense to "double request" from multiple brokers. I also like the added vehicle damage coverage offered by Ship-A-Car-Direct, in which they will pay towards your insurance deductible in the event of any damage during transport. I also want to highlight the disparity between actual carrier reviews and broker reviews - when my car was first assigned a carrier, they had poor reviews, and it concerned me. After talking through my concerns with my Ship-A-Car-Direct rep, I believe that most users of a given carrier don't circle back to post a review unless they're very dissatisfied, so carrier reviews should be taken at least with a few grains of salt. I trusted the carrier notes my Ship-A-Car-Direct rep had, and never had any issues. Despite taking much longer than I had hoped for my vehicle to be assigned a truck, the ongoing pandemic presented a unique circumstance as well as a challenge. I found Ship-A-Car-Direct and their representatives to be very helpful throughout the entire process.
