Did not live up to mission or promises

I would recommend using another company. I was shipping from NC to MA. I had a unique situation in which someone else was handing off the key to the driver. I was told over the phone by Gabe, the owner, that I would be assigned a driver who would then contact me about a day or so in advance and I could fill them in on the details. He also told me the driver would call me when they were about an hour away. The DAY of pickup, I received an email at 10:00am that my carrier had been sent out for pickup. Ten minutes later, I got a call from my driver that they were 10 minutes away from the pickup location. I had no notice, and had to scramble to let the agent giving away my keys know when to expect their arrival. For more context, I needed someone to go into my home in NC, retrieve a spare set of keys, and then meet the driver -- something that required time to communicate. Ship A Car Direct had no clue the whereabouts of the driver or my car -- when the company's mission statement said they know their drivers, and their drivers know them. Nearly 24 hours after my car had been picked up, I received a message from Ship A Car Direct asking if my car had been picked up. I was appalled that a car shipping company didn't know the location of 1. it's customer's vehicle 2. a carrier that they supposedly frequently use. Thankfully, my car was delivered safely and in good condition, hence the two stars versus one star. This company did not live up to its mission statement at all. I'm very disappointed, and will never recommend to friends.
