I used Ship a Car Direct for my 2014 Honda Accord from NJ to TX. I looked up a a few companies and read a bunch of reviews until I finally decided to go with this company. The process was simple and straight forward. I received a quote online and was contacted by the broker (Matt) shortly after. I placed my order on 1/8/20 for an earliest pick up date of 1/13/20. I was assigned the carrier, Direct Motor Lines Inc., and the car was picked up on 1/14/20. I was pretty surprised by the turn around time considering that I had only placed my order a few days before. The truck driver was really nice and kept me updated on his whereabouts. The car was delivered to TX on 1/17/20. Here is a pro and con list for anyone that is apprehensive about car shipping, since to be honest I was. PROS: 1. Quick turnaround time (carriers are only assigned a few days prior to your pick up date). 2. Plenty of communication via email by Ship a Car Direct to keep you updated 3. Ship a Car Direct app allows you to upload photos of your car prior to pick up. The pictures are time stamped, dated and indicate the location of where they were taken. This is to protect yourself in case of any damages during transport. 4. Company works with reliable carriers, so there is no need to worry about if your car will make it to its intended destination. 5. Very professional staff and I appreciated the communication. CONS: 1. The price, if you're on a budget (almost $1,000 from NJ to TX for me) 2. Cars on an open carrier truck can get really dirty during the transport so be prepared to get a car wash right away upon delivery! 3. Not really a con, but be prepared to meet the truck driver at another pick up location if your street/home is not accessible for the truck (I had to meet my driver at a nearby mall parking lot since he couldn't get onto my street) OVERALL: 1. Do your research before you book a company for your car shipment. If not, just trust me by reading this review and know that you'll be in good hands with Ship a Car Direct.
