After reading up on MANY auto transport companies I went with Ship a Car Direct and got what I wanted: car picked up on the day I wanted it picked up (even though I only gave them 5 days notice); delivered quickly (I was fine with waiting, but they had it to me in 4 days - Illinois to CA); no damage to the vehicle; and pleasant driver (same driver picked up and delivered, which i think is a plus!). It is more to go with a broker, than a direct carrier, but I think it's true that Ship a Car Direct "weeds" out drivers and carriers over time, and that knowledge was worth something to me. I also like their no damage guarantee, even though it is limited to $500, it means they have a vested interest in getting that car to the customer with no damage. Customer service was good as well, easy to speak with someone and they followed up with me along the way, and after. I had been anxious about shipping a car and in the end, no problems, all good. That's what I paid for!
