A generally positive experience

I was a bit unsure how to transport my car from New York, so I took a chance on Ship a Car Direct. The service was straightforward, the pricing was fair, and my car arrived without any damage. My only gripe is that during the process, I got a variety of emails (that I suspect were automated emails) confirming what was taking place. Often times the information given via email was confusing. Case in point, after I was sent an email stating that a carrier had agreed to ship my car on X date, I received a call from that carrier confirming those details. Then a few hours later, I got an email from Ship a Car Direct saying that the carrier required $25 extra to do the job and that I had to decide whether or not I wanted to take this option - this was confusing since I had already talked to the carrier confirming that they would ship my car. Ultimately, $25 was automatically deducted from my deposit, thereby negating the price increase by the carrier - but at the moment I was extremely confused regarding a) how much I needed to pay and b) whether or not my car was being shipped. Furthermore, information often came via text message - but when I texted back a question, I often didn’t even get a response. Again, this just added to the overall feeling of confusion. But as mentioned, long story short, while the communication process needs some work, the quality of the service was very good.
