I was very satisfied with my experience with Ship A Car Direct. Working with Renee made the process very easy. She has a very pleasant voice, but more importantly, she seems to have a sincere interest in helping the customer and an intellect to match. Knowing that she would soon be preoccupied with new employee training, she made sure I was aware of that fact. She then contacted me following her return to work to find out how the transportation of my truck across the country (Washington to Virginia) was going. My transport driver was Vic from Tech Transport llc out of Vancouver. He was in touch with me prior to picking up the vehicle from the dealership so that I could ask him to take photos of the vehicle prior to sign the bill of lading. He did so and texted them to me for review along with a photo of the bill of lading showing the scuffs and scratches he found on the vehicle at time of pick-up. I sensed that he appreciated my excitement about getting the new “used” vehicle and kept in touch with me as he traversed the nation. When Vic arrived in Virginia, he had texted that he would be available to drop the vehicle at 8pm and I demurred from doing so because of the diminishing light. He easily agreed to the following morning for drop off and it all went without a hitch. I even took of photo of Vic with my newly delivered truck. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience with your company. There was one hick-up in the process. When Vic went to pick up the vehicle he was surprised that it had a cap on it. Apparently, a cap on a pick-up makes it more difficult to load and therefore more expensive to ship. Vic contacted me and indicated I should get in touch with Renee. Before I had a chance to call Renee, Vic called back about an hour later and asked if I had contacted Renee and indicated that the cap cost could be as high as $300. Vic and I talked further and we agreed that I would pay Vic an extra $200 so as not to delay the shipment of the vehicle. I had not known to mention the cap to Renee when hiring Ship A Car Direct and she had not thought to ask, being a new employee and not yet having received full training. When I did get in touch wit Renee following delivery of the truck, she agreed to a full reimbursement of the additional cost but I deferred and offered to go 50/50 with her. The “mistake” regarding the cap was due to inexperience on both ends and I didn’t want Renee to take a full financial hit in the matter. She processed a refund of $100 immediately following our phone call. This is my second experience with Ship A Car Direct and I would feel very comfortable recommending the company to a friend or personally using their services again in the future. And should I do so, I’ll be asking to work with Renee and Vic.
