Super Fast Ship & Great Driver, but why can't we get more notice on pickup???

We booked a car transport from NJ to CA. They kept us updated at every step and were readily available for questions and follow ups. The driver picked the car up and within 4 days it was in CA!! He was incredibly skilled at getting the car off the trailer and very polite. The car arrived in perfect condition and the drop off/pick up went smoothly. The only complaint I would have is that we didn't realize that we would only get 1 to 2 hours of notice for pickup on the NJ end. I understand now that that is how the industry works, but I don't understand why a minimum of 24 hours notice can't be given?! We ended up having to cancel the first pickup date becuase I was too far away with the vehicle to get back in time and then we had to sweat out the next 4 days before we boarded a plane for CA. We couldn't use the car and just left it parked every day with the keys hidden just in case they called and were picking up in a 1/2 hour (which in the end that is exactly how it worked). In fact we were on the plane waiting to take off when I got the call that they were picking up the car in a 1/2 hour!!! We had made arrangements to leave the car with a friend, so it all worked out in the end, but I can't imagine any other industry that works like this. The unknown pickup dates and times are the reason I can't give them more stars, but the customer service & customer service were great.
