What a disaster! 20+% higher that other estimates and yet they tagged on another $50 above their quote after the car was picked up. I expected a great deal more from them. NO door to door despite the contract requiring it. The driver refused to go into any neighborhood because transport truck was articulated commercial carrier with a 2” ground clearance. He Required my sister-in-law to meet him at in a shopping center parking lot off the interstate for him to pick the car up. He showed up at the pick-up point at 9:30pm, 5 HOURS after he said he would be there, having turned off his cell phone for the duration. No apology and his only the explanation that he “had been taking care of personal business.” NO help from Ship a Car Direct with finding him. On the receiving end, the driver called at 6:00 am on a Saturday saying I had 30 minutes to come get the car from him. He was brusque and rude. When I complained about the hour, his response was that truckers worked 24 hours, and I would have to as well if I wanted the car. We arranged an agreed meeting place (despite the door to door contract). I arrived to meet him - no truck. He then called and said he was in front of a store next to where I was waiting. Went there - no truck. I tried calling him for the next 15 minutes - no answer. He then called me and pissily said the car was unloaded and had to be picked up immediately. Turns out he was 8 miles from the agreed pick up point. The only good aspect was that the car was undamaged. I would NEVER use Ship a Car Direct or USA Transport again. If I do not get my brokerage fee back, we WILL be in court for breach of contract.

We are sincerely sorry for the poor experience you had during the delivery of your vehicle. We apologize that there was no sufficient help from us, which is not usually the case. We will surely look into this and we will also deal with the carrier internally so we can continue to improve how we do our service. We have already refunded the broker fee of $200 on June 27, please note that it takes 5-7 business days for the amount to reflect in your statement. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
