I was out of town during the shipment, and both the pick up and the delivery were handled by my friend. I was worried initially, but it turned out that everything went smoothly.
The ship-a-car-direct website would ask for pick-up and delivery contact, which is very convenient for situations like this.
I had some personal stuff in the trunk, and according to my friend who handled the pick up, the driver didn't even ask about it.
It took about 3 to 4 days to transport the car from Texas to California, which is much faster than I expected.
The driver delivered the car near my friend's apartment, which is very convenient.
Did not notice sign of damage on the car yet.
Would strongly recommend this service.
