The company and drivers were easy to contact and kept on top of communication. All estimates given were accurate. Pick up and drop off process was smooth. The car was really dirty/dusty on the outside making it difficult to see through the windows before a wash but thats to be expected with an open carrier. Two negative with my experience. The first was that one of the reps I talked to gave me false information about drop off. When I was phoned about pick up, I preemptively questioned about drop off. I was starting a new job in a new city where I didn't know anybody. I wasn't sure that I would be able to leave work in the middle of the day to get the car and I didn't have anybody else to send in my absence. I presented this possible dilemma to the rep and she said that there are other options which will be explored when they call me about the actual drop off. The time comes where I get the drop off call and I am told the driver will only be in the city for a span of 2-3 hours and that was the only option to get the car. The shipping company said they had no storage pods in this area and that was not an option and there were no other options other than to meet the driver in that specific time. I ended up working it out with the shipping company by choosing a different drop off city that the driver would be in at a different time so I didn't have to leave work for over an hour in the middle of the day. So I had to drive quite a ways in a rental car to go pick up my car. I understand the driver can't just sit and wait for hours for someone to come get their car and that is why they give time frames but I clearly presented this possible situation ahead of time and was told there would be other options. The only other negative was that there was a scratch that chipped some of the paint on the passengers side door handle. My car is old (2005) and has some significant paint chips/flaking in other areas so this was not a big deal to me. Overall this was a good experience but I was just very frustrated by being told some false information. I think the breakdown in communication happened here because I asked someone from Ship-A-Car-Direct about drop off when in reality I should have spoken with someone from the actual transport company (Coast to Coast Auto Transport) about this.
