I bought a car in Fla that I needed shipped to CT. I had no experience with car transport companies, but with a little internet research I learned that there are basically two types of companies to deal with - Brokers and trucking companies. If you have a local trucking company you know and trust and can coordinate directly with them- that may be your cheapest rate. However, I chose ship a car direct after watching the videos they produced on the internet. They just came a across as a sincere and honest company trying to do a quality job. My experience with them was fantastic and i would use them again in a heart beat - here is why. 1) They communicate extremely well, regular emails thru-out the process, inducing "what to expect next" info, what to do and who to contact if there is damage and an app to photo document the ship and receive condition and follow ups to make sure ou are pleased with result 2) they are reputable - i ran into a billing error which they cleaned up immediately with one email - no BS- they explained why it happened- and corrected it - they were not defensive - really great service 3) I believe they will be in your corner if there is a problem and I believe they do screen their drivers well.

so the driver did have a check engine light that came on in his truck just before pick up - that caused a 1 day delay in pick up, and when he came to drop off the car, he had a hydraulic problem so he couldn't unload my car, until I took him to napa to get parts to fix the truck that said... the driver was professional and was just trying to make a living and dealing with an older truck (the truck was respectable - but stuff breaks in real life) so there was a little inconvenience but the car was fine dirty after a 1300 mile trip in the winter - of course - but that is to be expected in an open carrier

disclaimer - ship a car direct offers all of its customers a 30 rebate on cost to file a report - good or bad - so I am checking the box that says company offered incentive - but the incentive has nothing to do with what I write... great company - use them with confidence
