I was scared to ship my car after reading so many horror stories about cars arriving late, damaged or held hostage until the owner paid more. John was very polite and helpful over the phone, never overbearing like some other companies (which called three times a day to say that their competitors were liars -_-). They used Transauto Logistics Corp to pick up my car in NJ. Vince from Transauto picked up my car a day earlier than originally requested, but he was very professional and efficient. I was told it would take 7-10 days to get my car across the country, so I was surprised when they called 5 days later and asked it they could drop the car off in the morning. The driver called at 7:30 pm wanting to drop the car off at 6 am, but I was totally unprepared and couldn't arrange for a drop off. When I called the next day, Transauto said that another driver wouldn't be out in my area again for another 4-5 days, but I was welcome to pick up the car at their lot. I decided it was worth the trip so that I could return my rental car. My car was clean, damage free and everyone involved was friendly. My only complaint is the lack of notification before pick up and drop off which would have been impossible if I was at work and no one was around to help me. My pick up driver called me at 8 am to tell me he would pick up my car at noon that same day. (I had originally requested a Saturday pick up, but earlier in the week the driver said the only time he could come was Friday, but he couldn't tell me what time it would be until Friday morning) The delivery driver called at 7:30 pm on Wednesday to ask about a drop off at 6 am Thursday morning (which wouldn't normally be terrible, but the banks and post office were closed so I couldn't get a money order). This seems to be the norm for all the moving industries because this is exactly what happened with my furniture and belongings- it's bizarre and can be incredibly inconvenient. Overall, though, I would rate my experience as positive.
