This was the first time I've used Ship-a-car-Direct to move a vehicle. I've shipped other cars over the same general route before so I kind of knew what to expect. This company was top notch and everything about the service was excellent, from the one-on-one customer service rep right down to the driver of the rig that carried my car. They were all prompt, courteous, easily reachable, responsive, fair and provided a flawless shipment. The only thing - and it's a very small thing - that kept me from giving 5 stars instead of 4 was that I was surprised that the price went up a little from what I was originally quoted. When my car sat for a few days without a driver contract, I was told that "raising the price paid to the driver" would prompt someone to take the contract and thus get my car moving up the road. This had to be done twice (two $25 increments out of my pocket) before we got a contract. I wasn't aware of this when I booked the service initially and it kind of appeared like a tactic. HOWEVER, the initial price quoted, and even the final after the increase was all very reasonable and I would definitely use the service again. I'll just know what to expect the next time.
