We were initially very impressed by Ship-a-Car Direct's service. Our sales rep was prompt, knowledgeable and and helped to put our minds at ease. However, as we got closer to our move date, and we still had not secured a carrier, it became increasingly difficult for us to get in touch with our rep. We left several messages that were not returned. After we secured a carrier, we never heard from him again. We had to conduct all of the communications with the carrier, including the coordination of pickup and delivery. Perhaps it is not the broker's responsibility to coordinate the logistics when the car is in transit, but we certainly expected more assistance than we received. By the end of our experience, we felt that Ship-a-Car Direct was little more than a conduit to the central dispatch system.
