The overall experience has been quite satisfying. I decided to go for Ship a Car Direct after a mover bailed out the day before the pickup, hoping that a broker could find a solution quickly. The service was fast, and the movers (VO Transportations) were OK.
My experience went like this: I received a confirmation that my car would have been picked up on a given date. At 5:50pm nobody showed up, so I called the number that shipacardirect gave me, just to discovery that it was wrong (the guy wasn't working for VO Trans any longer!). So I called shipacardirect and was told that pick up is expected between 5pm and 6pm, which at that time was already past!.
Eventually the movers arrived at 9:30pm, but the delivery was on time and the car unscathed, so overall I am happy to recommend the service.
