This was the first time we have used an auto transport to move a car. The car had been stored in a garage for two years (partially why it was so dirty). Pick up of the car was onto a smaller flatbed truck, then the car was transferred to a large 18 wheeler auto transport for the cross country trip (didn't know that was how it worked, but in retrospect makes sense and should have realized that). We would have liked the car to be delivered directly to an auto shop, but due to the size of the auto transport, drop off had to be a pull thru turn around, (a large parking lot). This would exclude most residential areas and would be something to ask about if you are on a street with lots of trees/branches, dead end, etc. or if you must have delivery to an auto mechanic if the car is not drivable. In other words, this was not a door to door delivery. The driver on the delivery end had the car hooked up to a battery charger in order to drive it off the truck (no extra charge). I was worried about driving the car even a few miles to a mechanic, and the driver even advised me to not drive very far and to drive very slow. Communication was good overall, everyone was very nice. If we could have had it dropped at the mechanic, and paid the balance with a credit card instead of cash, would have been rated a 5.
