Contacted SACD more than a month before ship date, knowing Labor Day weekend would complicate booking. Despite repeated entreaties to find us someone as the weekend drew near, we didn't get a transporter until 24 hours before we left town for good, several days after Labor Day. As we were in the midst of a cross-country move, this was way more suspense than necessary, and our contact dropped off the radar as the move date got closer, which was really maddening. We almost went with another shipper at the last minute. Shipper also arrived at destination three days later than promised - he picked up a few extra cars on the way, which is good for the shipper's business, but made his delivery late on our end.
