My wife and I were on a 30 day road trip when our car broke down in Phoenix. Car needed a new engine and it was going to take a month before repair was completed. We continued our trip back home to NYC. A few weeks later car was ready for pick up and I started making phone call to get quotes for having the car shipped. First call I made was to Scott at Ship a car direct. He was very pleasant and not only did he gave me the best quote he was the only person who said that there was a possibility (would depend on the driver) to ship my Hyundai Sonata with a Thule cargo box on top. All other companies said it would be impossible. That it would have to be removed and shipped separately. I booked online, next day the car was picked up. Got a call the day before drop off from the driver with an approximate drop off time. The next day he gave me another call with an hour before arrival. The whole transaction from beginning to end went as well as one could hope for. I highly recommend Ship a car direct. Saved me from flying to Phoenix and driving the car back, which for a while I thought I would have to do since all other companies made it sound like transporting a sedan with a cargo box on top was completely out of the question.
