Shipping a car long distance is not particularly user friendly. I chose Ship A Car Direct as my broker as they gave me straight-up answers to my questions. What was most unsettling about the whole experience was related to the uncertainty of delivery date and time, and the uncertainty of receiving timely notification prior to delivery. These were issues with the freight company doing the actual transport and not with the broker, Ship A Car Direct. Initially I was told to expect delivery in 7-10 days, but it took 11 days. On Day 7, I tried unsuccessfully to reach the freight company directly to get an update (I was trying to adjust work schedule to accommodate the delivery). Ship A Car Direct stepped in and managed to have the freight company rep call me to give an update. The freight company rep promised to notify me when the car arrived at their terminal in CA and then schedule a delivery. I was supposed to get notice at least a day in advance. At the end of Day 10, I had to call the freight company to find out what was going on. It was only then that they told me that the car was at the terminal and delivery would be the next morning. I had a conflict at mid-morning and negotiated a specific delivery time before 8:30 AM. The car was delivered promptly and undamaged. In summary, Ship A Car Direct gave me very good service as a broker and was helpful with all aspects. The transport company was more difficult to deal with but from what I understand, that is not unusual for this industry. The end result was the car was delivered safely for a reasonable price.

Following delivery, Ship A Car Direct contacted me to verify delivery. They offered me a $30 rebate if I would rate and review my experience.
