I chose to go with Ship A Car Direct for a few reasons. My friend used them and said they were reliable, they had good reviews, and Scott was very prompt in picking up my initial phone call. He made me feel at ease and like he was a trustworthy guy. Other companies had automated messages or constantly tried to contact me which was annoying. Their price was a little higher than a couple of other quotes but this isn't like buying a tshirt or paper towels, if I have to pay an extra hundred to feel confident that my car would arrive in perfect condition, then it's worth it, especially after reading some of the other horrible reviews for other companies.

Scott assured me that it would take less than a week to find a carrier for my car but it took longer than expected. I was a little annoyed at the delay in timing but Scott was just as surprised as I was that it took so long. What I don't think he realized is that where I was moving to in NY is past Manhattan, requiring an extra 15-20 miles through high traffic and requires a $15 toll.

All in all, my car arrived in great condition and Ship a Car Direct was able to meet my apprehensiveness with assurance. Keep in mind that car transportation is not really a customer-facing industry and these guys aren't going to bend over backwards to put a smile on your face. This isn't the Ritz-Carlton, you're dealing with truckers and dispatch. Understanding that will help curb your expectations.
