payment on delivery day

Matt the broker was quick and efficient in locating a carrier for me. He never seemed to get angry when I called for more info. He provided me with whatever I asked for to make me feel comfortable. He returned my phone calls and emails promptly. Matt also seemed to be very honest, he took the time to explain to me how the transport business worked and he never rushed me to make any decisions quickly. My car arrived early and safe. The issue was the payment at delivery. The driver was not reachable over the weekend so I had no contact with anyone regarding the status of my car. When I was finally updated the car was arriving that day and this was very short notice since I was supposed to be there to recieve it. So, I was asked to pay before delivery because the Omega Express coordinator was going to be unreachable later on that evening. I was not comfortable with this and it was not how I was told that it would happen. I was to pay on delivery. However, I was able to make arrangements to transfer the money to my relatives to recieve my car early and to make the payment before she left the area. It was explained to me that other customers had paid in paid in advance and some weren't even there to recieve their car during the drop off. No way would I ever do it that way! It worked out in the end, but I would have never allowed my car to be dropped off without my inspecting it, nor would I have paid for the service in advance. Over all I was frustrated, made a ton of phone calls and many adjustments. But the service was great, the carrier was courteous, they paid for the inconvenience of my incurring more costs to wire the money, they were on time, careful and all was well. I would definitely use them again and I would refer both the broker and the transporter again.
