Not the best car shipping experience...

I scheduled for my car to be transported from California to Oregon, about a month in advance prior to my move.
Come the week of my scheduled pick up date, I had heard nothing from the company, I had to constantly call them and try to be in contact.
Often times, I would call multiple times, leave a message and never receive a call-back.
So I was starting to get worried but then closer to the date, the company just kept telling me that they were working on it and they were just waiting for a carrier to say they had availability on their carrier.
Even just a couple days prior to my scheduled pick up date, no word.
So on the morning of (Friday), I called and the company told me they didn't have a carrier but were still working on it.
Luckily, I still had till Monday to ship the car and I let the company know that Monday was my ultimate last time for them to ship the car.
Come Monday, I got an e-mail saying a carrier had been found but no phone call, so I called.
Unfortunately, the carrier would be picking up Tuesday and by then, I was going to be out of town.
So I had to cancel that carrier and cross my fingers to hope that another carrier could be found for that day.
Thankfully, there was a carrier that was found and he came to pick up the car that evening.
From then on, it was smooth sailing.
The company rep I was conversing with throughout this whole process, Scott, was nice enough to take $100 off his fee for all the delays.
But overall, it was a very unpleasant car shipping process and not something I would want to do again.
It was very nerve-wracking wondering if I was going to have my car shipped in time and I was very disappointed that my car was not shipped when originally scheduled especially since I booked in advance.
So just prepare to be flexible and have a lot of patience if you do decide to ship with this company.

Sorry it was an unpleasant experience, Celia. We try to be clear that we cannot guarantee exact dates in advance, because unique truck routes can't be "reserved" the same way that other services can be locked down. As weird as it sounds, even if you place your order a month in advance, the schedule will be confirmed within 24-48 hours of actual pick-up, generally within a day or two of your preferred date. To save yourself some anguish, it's better to plan for that and expect the news to come later rather than sooner.
