Like many, I was nervous about working with a transport company, given that many companies seem to have very poor customer service, not to mention the outright scams. After a lot of research, I chose Ship A Car Direct as the broker, and I'm very happy I did. I was really sold by some of their policies, which may be unique in the industry: 1.You don't pay a deposit until they've found a carrier- 2. You can research the carrier and request a different one if you don't like what you find (still without paying anything)- 3. If on delivery there's any damage that the carrier's insurance doesn't cover, Ship A Car Direct pays the difference, so you pay nothing out of pocket. They also say that they are continually researching carriers to weed out the bad ones. I can't verify this, although after the first company that was going to transport the car flaked out, Eric told me they were "under review" as to whether Ship A Car Direct would work with them again.

The only negative I'll say is that when the problem arose with the first carrier, I was hearing one thing from Ship A Car's dispatch department and something else from Eric. But I'll chalk that up to miscommunication (to put it charitably) within the carrier company, not to Ship A Car.

I encourage everyone to look at the videos on the company's website. They're very helpful in understanding what you need to know about shipping a car, whether or not you use this company to broker your transport.
