Overall, I was pleased with the service that I received from Ship a Car Direct. I worked with Eric who answered all my questions and sent me links to their informational videos. Eric was very prompt in returning all my calls and submitting his quote.

I submitted my request for transportation for my Toyota Avalon on a Friday hoping to get a pick up on the following Tuesday. I called on Wednesday when I had not heard anything, and Eric said that they were having trouble getting a driver at the price he had offered. So they were going to bid the job out at a higher price, but that did not affect the amount that I paid. He held to the original quote. On Friday morning I received a call from my driver that he was in town and ready to pick up the car. It was fortunate that I was available to bring him the car, because I had no advance notice from Ship a Car Direct that he was coming. Andy the driver parked his rig at the end of the street and carefully and efficiently loaded on the car. It arrived at its destination on Monday as Andy had promised. Unfortunately, my daughter was unable to check for superficial damage because the car was so dirty when it arrived that it appeared to be gray instead of red. But otherwise it was in good condition.

I would have been happier if I had advance notice that the transport was coming. And it had not occurred to me that the car might be very dirty on delivery, but no one had promised that the car would be clean.

Thank you for your positive feedback, Elizabeth! Sorry there wasn't more advance notice but that's a good point to mention - carriers often confirm within 24 hours of arrival. (That's when they really know they are available near a specific address.)
