Shopping for shipping a car was a daunting process. Companies immediately came back with quotes from $600-$1500. Why the difference? It feels as if the low cost brokers throw a low-ball estimate just to get you to bite. They don't have the actual cost that a carrier will actually settle on. So I went by the ratings and settled on SHIP A CAR DIRECT. My contact Scott, worked tirelessly to find a carrier just after the holidays to go to a small city in Idaho. He came back and recommended that if we changed the shipment to Spokane WA (1.5 hrs from original location), he could save me quite a bit of money. Scott contacted me on numerous occasions with updates and followed up after the delivery to ensure that it went smoothly. In the end, he found a great carrier who's driver went out of his way to help my son get to the drop off location. The car was delivered in perfect condition.

You are so right, Bill - sometimes the lowest quote out there is not actually what will contract a driver. Thanks for your helpful recommendation!
