I recently shipped a 68 Chevrolet in concert with a cross country move. Needless to say there were allot of moving pieces to the move, and getting the car trucked simply, safely, and quickly was a priority for me. Because. I had to drive my household goods separately and coordinate the whole process with the military's schedule, I expected a big headache from the shipping process. Initially, that's exactly what I got from other trucking companies and third parties that I called. Everything from not answering the phone during business hours and websites that did not inspire confidence, to unprofessional responses like, "we have a guy who does that, I think, he's really good don't worry". There was no way I was going to trust this sweet ride to anyone that I contacted before ship a cat direct. The initial website once over met the eyeball test, and my first round of questions with Matt was professional all the way. I really appreciated the fact that I dealt with the same representative the whole time, it really helped the process go smoother. To give some frame of reference, the last time I shipped this car, it was with magic carpet and I literally got into a shouting match with a representative because I told him I was just calling to get a quote and was still shopping around. It ended with him telling me to we don't want to ship you're car, and don't call back". I ended up having to go with them anyway and was not happy with the result. In contrast, the ship a car direct service was professional, It was with K line transport. It was clear this guy was a pro, and was more concerned about loading the car safely than I was! He gave me no static about where I asked him to pick it up from ( it was not a big open area), as I was in the middle of loading my stuff from the storage unit. The same can be said of the delivery service. It was literally in a residential area. The guy magic carpet used insisted that I pick up the car in a K mart parking lot at night. Convenient for him, but really inconvenient for me. The final note to this review of ship a car direct's service, is that magic carpet's guys damaged the car by parking it too close to the side of the ramp which caused one of the tires to be slashed to the inner tube by the railing! I will definitely use ship a car direct in the future.
