Long stressful process, but safe car delivery

Transporting a car from Atlanta to Chicago turned out to be much more difficult and stressful than I originally thought. Ship A Car Direct did work diligently to have my car moved, as they were able to find a carrier within 3 days of my original pickup date. Shortly after receiving the call from the assigned carrier, however, the carrier canceled the pickup. My Ship A Car contact person (Gaby) apologized repeatedly and said that what just happened was not normal carrier behavior and that the carrier would not be used again by Ship A Car Direct. A few days later I was told the 4th of July weekend slowed everything down and that carriers were difficult to find. After 13 days, another carrier was finally assigned to deliver my car to Chicago. The final price was $25 more than my original quote, but still less than competing quotes I had received. Another problem struck, as the carrier's truck broke down and the 2 day trip ended up taking four days. The car did arrive safe and sound (and little dirty as well, which was to be expected). Overall, the time from the first pickup date to having my car delivered was 17 days. Even though the process was long and at times stressful, Gaby did a great job and is a very personable representative.

Thank you for your feedback, Jeremy. Sorry it took longer than average - there are fewer options around holidays as truckers celebrate them too. Glad to hear Gaby was helpful!
