Early Delivery

In general, my experience with ship a car direct was excellent. They did everything they agreed to. They found us a carrier within a few days of placing the order. Communications regarding the pickup were excellent.

Only a few minor suggestions for improvement. Several of the tips, which were very good, were sent to us after the car had already been picked up.

The other issue was communication of earliest delivery date. The carrier contacted us wanting to deliver the car two days prior to our earliest possible delivery date. We did let them know that we were still on the road and could not accept delivery. We also told the carrier that our shipping order very clearly stated an earliest possible delivery date. The carrier claimed that they were not told. The carried contacted us again one day prior to our earliest delivery date and wanted, among a number of options, to put our car in storage which we told them was unacceptable and that the earliest delivery date was specified (We were still on the road.) The carrier complained that they were losing money because they could not deliver the car. Told them there was nothing we could do and that the earliest delivery date was specified.

In the end, it worked out. The driver stayed late and met us at our destination upon our arrival. (About 12 hours before our designated delivery.) The end result was excellent as we had the car before we expected.

i would definitely use Ship a Car direct again. I would just reemphasize my acceptable delivery date if that is an issue.
