Ship A Car Direct (Broker) and Happy Auto Transport (Shipper) Performed!

My daughter recently transported her small SUV from the Boston area to Los Angeles. She had accepted an offer with a car transport broker company named Door to Door Transport. Their offer was lower than any other bid she received. Door to Door Transport never found a shipper despite repeated assurances to my daughter by telephone that they would find one, right up to and several days beyond the pickup date agreed upon. After much waiting and increasing anxiety, she finally fired Door to Door Transport for nonperformance and scrambled just before she had to leave Boston to find a replacement shipper.

To help her out, I called Tom Miller at Ship A Car Direct (located in Los Angeles), whom our family had used before successfully to ship a car, and asked him to find a transporter on short notice. Tom was great. He found a shipper within one day, Happy Auto Transport, who then picked up the car within two more days. Although a travel time up to ten days was quoted and agreed upon, they actually transported the car in only 5 1/2 days to us safe and sound. Not bad for a trip over 3,000 miles! We finally paid Ship a Car Direct and Happy Auto Transport a total of about four hundred dollars more than the low ball offer from the first company, but it was worth it. Our thanks go out to Tom and to the Happy Auto Transport driver, Renato. Good job men!
