I used this company because of its great reviews and really the prices are so similar when you shop and compare. I really trusted them from start to finish. That being said I was quite surprised how laid back they were about the whole process. I felt more like i was dealing with a friend then a business. Which is good and bad. Bad because no one told me in advance that I would need to pay the driver cash. I got an email the day before telling me this! Maybe should have mentioned that previous. In addition the car was picked up before they even collected my deposit! And it was all much more casual then professional. That being said, I gotta give them a good review. Because everything turned out fine and it was very easy. My car got there really really quick!!! They allowed me to put stuff in the car which was really important to me (even though they don't guarantee you will be able to do this the carrier was cool about it). I suggest having some $ on hand to tip the driver when they get there if you plan to have stuff in the car. He seemed to appreciate it. Before I went with this company, when I called to ask another company if they would allow it they said "if the stuff in your car weighs more then 100 pounds we will take it out and leave it by the side of the road". Um, ok, NO THANKS. They got the car there quicker then they originally said, and when they quoted the time they were going to show up there were there on the dot! I asked the carrier if they do business with ship-a-car-direct often, he said all the time. He also laughed when I mentioned that I thought they were a little unorganized. Like I said, a little to casual about the whole thing. So overall I recommend you use this company over any other because I feel they are not shady and I trusted them and they delivered. I think they get you the best price for the service and insurance they provide. That being said, make sure you ask all the questions you need to know the answers to and don't wait for them to tell you.
I would use them again in the future.

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry our style felt too casual to you, we try to be friendly. While we do note payment terms in the Terms and Conditions and the email notices we send, it still does surprise some folks to learn that this is a Cash On Delivery industry.
