Ship a Car Direct Experience

I needed to ship a car from Texas to Illinois in Mid March of 2014.

I chose to use Ship a Car Direct because I had previously used them in 2010 when they went by the name of Honesty First Auto Transport. That 2010 experience went well.

Overall, this 2014 experience was a good experience. At first, I was a little nervous because one day prior to my first available date, I still hadn't been connected with a transporting company. My fears were put to rest when Matt (of Ship a Car Direct) connected me to a company early the next day.

That company then picked up my car at the end of the first available day. The company took 3 days to deliver the car, a reasonable time.

Car was in pretty much the same condition as when I released it to the transporter. The only difference I noted were some some minor oil stains on the interior passenger door side. Not a big deal as these should come out easily. I think these were due to to the transporting person gripping that spot when he was adjusting something on his truck on the outside.

I would definitely use Ship a Car Direct again in the future. Matt was helpful and knowledgeable, and provided good customer service.

Thanks for the positive review, Daniel! It is nerve-wracking that there isn't advance confirmation of your pick-up. Carriers can most reliably confirm within 24-48 hours of picking up, no matter how much advance notice you give us or how important your timing is. It's a good point for future shippers: allow for flexbility around your pick-up preference.
