Would use again but get driver's # upfront

I was very pleased with the service from Ship A Car Direct, but did have trouble reaching the transport company. My key advice would be to get the cell phone number of the transport driver in addition to the transport company dispatcher.

My car was being shipped over a weekend, and the transport company didn't return my calls on a Saturday to confirm a window of time for the Sunday pick-up. Eventually, I reached someone on Sunday morning at an answering service at Ship A Car who had a staff person put me in touch with the driver, but that answering service doesn't seem to be available consistently over the weekend.

Once I had the driver's number, he was very helpful in telling me the timeline to expect. You do have to be flexible because the drivers cannot predict exactly when they will get to the pickup and drop off locations.

Ship A Car handled everything well on its end, so I would use again and definitely recommend...just get the driver's number.

Thank you for the positive feedback, Shelley! Sorry you couldn't reach the driver when you wanted news, but it's very likely he couldn't return your calls because he was driving. Drivers will call customers directly when they can give a good estimate for arrival, and as you mentioned they cannot predict accurately in advance. They often call at the end of the drive day or first thing in the morning with arrival estimates.
