Communication

We had a bit of a snafu with delivery time. Car was picked up in California on a Tuesday, but didn't leave until (we later found out) Sunday. We had said the car needed delivered the following Tuesday in Alabama, but the the car carrier took that to mean not before Tuesday (which was correct) and anytime after (not correct.) Instead of a Tuesday delivery, which is what we agreed to, the car was delivered Friday evening. Ship a Car Direct found us a good carrier, but the communication between us, them, and the carrier got a little screwed up. Overall, the car was delivered in perfect shape. Pickup process was super easy, and the actual delivery was super easy. Timeline was what we were disappointed in. Ship a Car Direct was apologetic about the delay, but once the car is in the delivery "system,' you kinda just have to ride it out.

Thanks for your feedback, Chuck! You bring up an important point: it's realistic to leave your schedule flexible around carrier arrival. Your move is coordinated with a full truckload of other customers, so the timing reflects that. The truck arrives when it arrives and we can't guarantee delivery on one specific date. We can note a "no delivery before" date with arrival on that date or within a few days following. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
