Unprofessional and Rude

So I first contact Safe-Direct (Ship A Car Direct) when I needed to complete a quick turn car shipment (<3 days), and was told that they would work on having my car shipped. Since it was a quick turn, I expected some follow-up communication that would instill some confidence that they were working on finding a carrier. After not hearing anything for about 36 hours, I contacted another company regarding the shipment as I hadn't heard anything back on my initial quote from Safe Direct. Apparently, in contacting the second company, I was now listed twice on the registry that all carriers look at.

After requesting an update from Safe-Direct, I received a pretty rude and unprofessional voicemail stating that because I was now listed twice on the registry, Safe-Direct would no longer do business with me. Carriers will no longer touch my listing, as it is listed twice, and it's now my problem to find a carrier. Whether that is true or not, it would have been nice for Safe-Direct to explain that in advance, follow-up on a short turn request, or at least be professional about the situation. If you couldn't accommodate the initial request due to timing, or a myriad of reasons, that is fine - but don't just take the listing, post my information and then yell at me when I reach out to another company because I haven't heard back from you.

In this particular case, I was willing to pay a high price because of the short turn request, and just wanted to make sure the car was picked up by the required date. I definitely didn't deserve rude and unprofessional feedback because I wasn't solely using Safe-Direct. Had they told me that dealing with another company would cause problems, I wouldn't not have reached out, but I also expected some sort of update from Safe-Direct.

In the end, I will never do business with Safe-Direct again.

Our representative was neither disprespectful nor rude, he simply informed you that we could not help you while your job was listed with another broker. In fact, our company owner was monitering that call and was advising your salesperson of your options. He let you know that we could not be succesful while you were making another offer of $200 more than ours, and that we would "get out of the way" to insure your transport goal. Thank you for the opportunity to inform other potential shippers who may be inclined to try to work with multiple brokers. It is always best to work with one broker and make just one good, solid offer to confirm your auto transport.
