Tom w/Safe Direct Auto Shipping was very nice. They selected InterStar Logistics Inc based in Falls Church, VA to transport my car. The young man was nice when he picked up my car. He stated he wasn't the one driving-then pointed to the front seat of the truck which I couldn't help but notice there was no one in there. He stated he was just helping out. A few minutes later I came back to his truck in my husband's vehicle and noticed he was still at the same location "strapping" my vehicle to the truck. Still, no one was in the front cab of the truck. My car arrived 4 days later & when I drove it, it felt hard to turn the wheel and would pull when I would brake. Took it to the nearest BMW dealer and when he turned the wheel, you could visibly see a piece cracked in half. Turns out they strapped the left and right arm (control arms) despite the big yellow sticker with a line across the circle which IMO is a universal sign for "do NOT". I contacted the owner of InterStar Logistics who told me to send him pictures. Both myself and the dealer sent him about 10 pictures. The repair costs were $1100. Tom with Safe Direct Auto gave me InterStar's insurance information and it turns out InterStar Logistics told his insurance co. that they did NOT damage the car. Now my insurance co. is in pursuit of having to get reimbursed for the damage that this young man caused to my car. I told InterStar Logistics he was a nice young man, he just made a mistake - which the owner of InterStar Logistics is refusing to accept. I am now wondering if the young man was licensed to transport. I would recommend Safe-Direct Auto, but would not recommend InterStar Logistics for transporting. It doesn't matter what country you're from, most people know that a circle with a line across it means "do NOT", transporters should also know which manufacturers of autos you can NOT strap the arms. Since Safe Direct Auto is a broker and the other half is the actual transporter, I've given each 50/50. The poor rating is for InterStar Logistics USDOT 2350024
