On Time Pick Up and Early Delivery

Booking a truck for interstate pickup and delivery of your car as I found out was a bidding process, with brokers offering a price they feel will be attractive to truckers so they will pick your car up on time, or as close to the promised pick up time as possible.

In this respect then, the broker does not have control over pick up time or delivery. That is up to the trucker. Brokers do however have responsibility to define your expectations, and in this regard I found Safe-direct Car Shipping to be very adept at clearly guiding my expectations. They informed me of the process, told me what to expect in terms of pick up date, and whether I would be successful within the date allotted. Once I signed on with them a driver took my bid and they arranged pick up the next day. I then spoke to the driver who informed me that they would be able to deliver within two days, it took them 1 1/2 days to deliver.

Now, that said, I am on a very popular route, New York to South Florida is a straight shot down I-95 with many many Snowbirds either relocating, or coming down for the Winter, so having my car picked up was IMHO pretty much a shoe-in.

Could I have paid less? Possibly, there were other quotes from reputable brokers that were for a little less, but what impressed me were other reviews like this one that praised Safe-Direct's service. And those reviews that were poor commented on the drivers, not the broker, and those reviews seemed to be on more obscure routes, again, being on a popular route I think helps as it increases the driver pool that will bid for your business.

What finally sold me on Safe-Direct was the damage free guarantee they provide, as it turns out I did not have to call this in, but it was nice to know I had this as back up just in case.

Overall a seamless experience, Tom was an absolute professional, and he kept in touch every step of the way
