Safe-direct and David are all right, and so are the drivers (Kline). The reason I'm not giving them the highest marks is this. I realized soon that if you are not in a hurry, especially if you don't have to have your car picked up within a small window, then most decent shipping agents should do, and likely at smaller commissions.. But if you do, then as David would repeatedly tell you, it's all money talk. I had a 4-day window, and I started with a quote of $975. On the 3rd day I had to raise my bid straight to $1175, and the next day (or night, to be exact), the car got picked up. My issue is, in the beginning Safe-direct would send you all those videos and arguments that somehow implied they'd do better than the next guy to ship your car timely (false). But after it started, they would show you the listings on the central dispatch that show which cars got picked up and which left, and tell you that there's nothing they could do but money-talk. Which I believe is true, yet it's not the initial impression I got from them.

I'm told that if I mark the box that I expect to be compensated for the review, then I only get $10 back, vs. $30 otherwise. So I'm leaving the box unmarked.

Thanks for your feedback, pricing is an important issue. However, our original quote to you was $1175 - the same price that actually confirmed a carrier in the end as that is the current pricing that confirms a carrier for your route. You asked us to try for a bargain and we did, but your preferred bargain price ($200 lower than our first estimate) was too low to confirm a carrier. Because no-one wanted to work for your price, we had to recommend increasing your offer back to our original estimate. While we are always happy to try for a bargain, we will always quote you the current fair price to start.
