First time car shipping cross country

The car went coast to coast from CA to RI in 6 days for $1200. I selected this company based on ratings on this website and its BBB.org grade. It also helped that Tom answered the phone 80% of the time during business hours and returned most of my calls and emails within the day. I had a lot of questions for him and never felt rushed on the phone. He assigned my vehicle to CAA Logistics based in California. I checked out the company's website and it seemed legit.

The only strange thing about my delivery was that the driver called me from a Wal-Mart parking lot asking if he could drive my car to my house and if I could give him a ride back to his truck. Firstly, I was told I'd be given 1 hour notice and he was already in my neighborhood. Secondly I expected his truck to pull right up to my house not near my house.... I thought this was strange because I knew there were zero logistical issues with getting his 16-wheeler to my street. He tried to explain why he had to do it this way (I don't believe English was his first language so I didn't quite understand his reasoning) but in the end I insisted that he deliver my car door to door because that is what I paid for. The driver was respectful and honored my choice.

Other than that I had a smooth experience and would use this company again.

As a side note, there were definitely other companies quoting me a few hundred dollars less. However, when I researched their BBB.org ratings, they either were not members of BBB.org or had a low grade - all of which made me nervous as a first time car shipper.
