Safe-Direct Car Shipping, as I understand, is a brokerage service that connects customers with car shippers. My review here is for my experience in using Safe-Direct Car Shipping as the brokerage firm - another company was actually responsible for my car shipping service. I interacted with Dave exclusively, and from the very beginning he was very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He offered a price that was lower than any other service. He explained to me how the process works (apparently, bidding doesn't really happen until quite close to the actual shipping date). I was soon connected to a shipper, but based on internet reviews, I decided not to go with the first bidder. Dave was very understanding. It took sometime for me to get a second shipper, but the whole time, Dave told me not to worry. When I asked him whether we should increase the price, he still thought I should be able to find a bidder soon - which I did. When I had some concerns about the second bidder, he shared with me their records with Safe-Direct Car Shipping and put me at ease. I eventually went with the second shipper, and my experience was very good (I would give my actual shipper 4 stars out of 5). On the day my car was delivered, Dave followed up with email and then a phone call to see how the service went over all. In terms of the brokerage service offered by Dave, I am thoroughly impressed.

Overall, the price for shipping a sedan from VA to CA ended up $1145. Another company quote me $1720, so I saved nearly $600. I was expecting the service to take about 10 days, but the car arrived on the 8th day.

This was my very first time shipping a car across the country, and I was understandably very nervous, but I would definitely use Safe-Direct Car Shipping again. But it should be advised that customers are encouraged to do their own check-ups with Better Business Bureau or Transportreviews for actual shippers. Safe-Direct Car Shipping's service is finding the right match for you, which is an important service.
