Surprise, customer service, has not gone the way of the dinosaur; it is alive and very well and I found it at Safe-Direct Car Shipping. I wanted to save my nephew the driving time from PA to TX and began my internet search for a company that could handle the transport of his car. I stoppped looking after my first conversation with Tom at Safe-Direct. He explained the process, the price(very fair), the options and was not overberaring or pushy, just friendly and helpful. Tom stayed in communication from start to finish, kept me apprised of status, and answered questions with directness. He was both professional and NICE!
Tom called me as soon as he located a carrier, Lauritsen Transport, and as improbable as it seemed, Brian from Lauritsen was as nice and as professional as Tom. Brian co-ordinated best time pick-up of the car, called to let me know his on time arrival for pick-up and ofered reassurance that the car would be there, as promised. Having met him, I was confident that he would deliver!
My nephew arrived at his destination Tuesday evening, and a half hour later, Brian called to say he was ready to drop off the car. The car-a little dirtier but with a lot less wear and tear and 1500+ fewer miles than if it had been driven to TX. My nephew- a lot less stressed, far fewer muscle twinges and smiling with relief when he started up his car and drove the short distance to his new home. Me- amazed that I was so lucky to have found not one, but two companies that did a fabulous job of doing their job! Thank you Tom and Brian!
