Moving 3 cars across the country

We needed 3 cars moved from Washington state to the east coast. After researching the web and reading many reviews, we chose Safe-Direct Car Shipping. I'd recommend their website - there are some informative short videos online that are helpful if this is the first time you're going through this process.

The three cars were to go to 2 different locations (different states - both on east coast) and we thought we'd be able to make these one order, but because of the different destinations, they went in as two - one for 2 cars, and the other for just the one. The two cars were assigned to a carrier right away - surprisingly quickly, actually. On the day the pickup for the first 2 was scheduled, the third still hadn't found a carrier. Due to time constraints, we needed it moved soon, so we contacted David, talked it through and decided to have all three shipped together if possible - same destination instead of different. David quickly got in touch with the carrier and they were willing to change the order and add the third car to the shipment.

The pickup was late by one day - the carrier truck had mechanical problems. When the cars were picked up, the driver was very professional, friendly and efficient. We were surprised, however, to learn that he'd be dropping the cars off at the destination in only 4 days. Speedy (good) but earlier than we were prepared to have them. I wish I'd known that such a short window might be a possibility.

The cars were pretty filthy when they arrived, but they'd been hauled across country in January on an open truck - so, no big surprise there. No damage, just dirt. The drop off location was in tight quarters, but Adam (the driver) gave us a call and we arranged for a meeting place (closer that we thought he'd be able to manage, but truly, this guy was extremely good at maneuvering that truck).

So, cars unloaded. Driver paid. Job done.

It's stressful - there's no doubt about that. But I did feel that if I had any questions or concerns, I could contact either David at Safe-Direct or the carrier once the cars were assigned and get a straight forward honest answer. We'll use them again.
