Conflicting feelings

Perhaps it was because I was shipping my car to an "underserved" area of the country, but it seemed to take an inordinately long time to find a carrier. The carrier who was finally contracted couldn't deliver directly to me; I had to pick the car up from a location two hours away, which was incredibly inconvenient. I also had to increase my offer twice in order to get a carrier to confirm. Maybe Honesty First did the best they could. Jennifer tried to be communicative and reassuring; she was polite, professional, and prompt in her communications. But if they knew in the beginning that the area I was requesting for delivery was "underserved," I think they should have given me a higher estimate to begin with, instead of letting over two weeks elapse before raising the offer enough to get a carrier. Overall, I was happy with the service and delivery (only 5 days to ship from NC to WA; car arrived safely) of the actual transport company they contracted, but it was difficult to communicate with the carrier (voicemail boxes full, messages not returned in a timely manner, receptionist/switchboard operator seeming to have a limited grasp of English). I thought shipping my car would relieve some of the stress of a cross-country move, but instead it increased it! I do not plan to have a car shipped again if I can avoid it.
