Started off great, but a weak finish

I shipped my 2000 Toyota Camry from Texas to Maryland.

Everything on the pickup end was pretty good. The driver was running late, but kept in close contact with us about his schedule and we worked out an agreeable pickup time and location. The driver was extremely friendly and apologetic for being late. Originally he was going to pick up in the early evening on the first day but ended up picking it up early afternoon the following day.

The delivery end wasn't so great. Again, the driver was running much later than anticipated. As the day got later the driver called my friend (where I had arranged delivery) and asked if he would drive about 15 miles to a drop off facility to pick up the car. I paid for door-to-door so my friend said no, they needed to deliver the car. A couple of hours later the driver showed up DRIVING my car (not on the truck) with someone following him. My friend tried to pay him with a personal check, which the agent I had dealt with told me would be fine. (Their terms and conditions say that you have to pay in cash or a cashier's check, but I didn't know that at the time and the agent said a check would be good). The driver refused to take the personal check and so my friend said, "Sorry, then I guess you don't get paid." In the end, the driver did accept the personal check and left the car.

The car itself was fine (no damage) and the stuff that I had put in the trunk was all still there, so in that sense the service was fine.

The other thing to be aware of with this company is that if you request the free quote on their website, they will call you every single day. They are very aggressive in following up the quotes.

I did not have a horrible experience with this company, but not the best experience either.
