DELIVERY OF VEHICLE VERY UNSATISFACTORY

WE PAID IN FULL UP FRONT TO HAVE OUR VEHICLE SHIPPED. APPARENTLY, SHIP ANY CAR CONTRACTED A DRIVER TO DELIVER OUR VEHICLE. IT ARRIVED ON TIME AND THE DRIVER LEFT THE CAR AT THE ASSIGNED DESTINATION. HOWEVER, HE WOULD NOT LEAVE THE KEYS BECAUSE HIS MANIFEST REFLECTED THAT WE DID NOT PAY IN FULL FOR THE SHIPPING. BECAUSE HE ARRIVED AT THE DESTINATION ON A SUNDAY, SHIP ANY CAR WAS CLOSED, THEREFORE, THIS WAS LEFT UNRESOLVED THAT DAY. THE DRIVER PROMISED TO BRING THE KEYS BACK TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION ON MONDAY ONCE HE WAS "SURE HE WAS GOING TO GET PAID".
WE LEFT MESSAGES WITH SHIP ANY CAR ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY AND THEY WERE NOT RETURNED. I FINALLY REACHED THEIR OFFICES ON MONDAY AROUND NOON (EST)AND THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ASSURED ME THAT THE DRIVER WOULD BRING THE KEYS BACK TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION. PHONE CALLS WENT BACK AND FORTH ALL DAY BETWEEN THE DRIVER, SHIP ANY CAR, MY SON AT THE DESTINATION AND ME.
IT WAS FINALLY DETERMINED THAT THE DRIVER WOULD BE PAID BY HIS CONTRACTOR AND HE AGREED TO RELEASE THE KEYS.
HOWEVER, HE DID NOT BRING THE KEYS BACK TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION AS PROMISED. INSTEAD, MY SON HAD TO "MEET HIM HALFWAY"- A 45 MINUTE DRIVE IN A BLIZZARD.
WHEN SHIP ANY CAR WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS THE FOLLOWING DAY, THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD "MAKE GOOD" AND PROVIDE SOME COMPENSATION FOR THE STRESS AND INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY THE DRIVER HOLDING OUR KEYS "HOSTAGE". THIS HAS YET TO HAPPEN IN SPITE OF SUBSEQUENT E-MAILS FROM ME TO ROLAND, THE MANAGER.
BEFORE DEALING WITH SHIP ANY CAR, BE VERY CAREFUL THAT THEIR CONTRACTED DRIVER IS FULLY AWARE OF ANY PAYMENT DUE AT THE DROP OFF LOCATION.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND SHIP ANY CAR.
