I am an experienced buyer/seller of transported cars, so thank goodness I know my experience with Sharp is atypical- or I would never do it again.
My car, a 1954 Ford Victoria, was not picked up for 16 days. It was like pulling teeth. The first time I called the rep to find out a status he didn't even know who I was at first. It sat so long the dealer in Iowa put it on the board with another company. So Sharp finally picks up the car, and tells me that it would be delivered no later than Jan. 30. On Jan. 29 I call for an update and was told the car was diverted to Southern California (I'm in Northern CA) and that it would be delivered on Jan. 31. Then I was told it would be Feb. 1. When I complained to the rep about all the delays, he told me to chill out because "no one is gettng cancer here." I was very offended so I contacted the owner directly for help. After my pleas for help directly to the owner of Sharp, Tom Marino, then things got surreal. He was rude, condescending and lied to me repeatedly about where the car was. He told me it was in Southern California. I tracked down the driver myself. He and my car were in San Antonio on Jan. 31!!! My car was diverted nearly 1200 miles out of the way for reasons that were never explained to me. After I confronted Mr. Marino with this, he claimed he was misinformed that my car was in So Cal... yet it was only in the possession of one driver the whole time. I had many email exchanges with Mr. Marino. He was dishonest, hostile and condescending. None of the qualities one should look for in a transporter. I encourage anyone considering Sharp to contact me for the email exchanges... I will let Mr. Marino's emails speak for themselves and you be the judge. I will be posting the emails on line shortly. If you don't care about promptness or customer service or integrity, then this is your company of choice.
