Almost a month back I requested online quote for car transport from Ohio to Texas. Few agents contacted including Route Runners. I choose Route Runner because of reasonable price and charges after driver assignment. Route Runner told me that it is too early to look for shipper as you have 3-4 weeks yet. Route Runner will be in touch with me a week before shipment.
No one contacted me. Hence I called Route Runner to check status a week and half before shipment needed. The agent said it is too early to assign carrier. We will contact you by end of week and shared a URL to book order and collected credit card info.
I was waiting till Friday no response. Hence again contacted them on Friday and Saturday but no one picked up phone / replied to email. I thought someone would contact and hence kept my patience.
On Monday morning, again I called then Route Runner told me that my vehicle was scheduled to pick up over weekend but driver did not pickup. Now it can be picked up in couple of hours and shipper is asking for $100 more than quote. I told him that I am not ready with vehicle in couple of hours as I have high critical meetings now. Also, please see if we can get something near by to quote. Agent said they will get back to me shortly.
It is couple of days I am still following up with Route Runner but they are telling me that they are looking for a shipper and will contact me once find someone. I asked to cancel order and look for another agency but Route Runner said they will get what others will get. We are working on your order we will get back to you. I am leaving tomorrow morning still no updates from Route Runner even after multiple followups.
