"Reliable" Carriers=Terrible Experience

I originally contracted with "Reliable" Carriers to transport my vehicle from New Mexico to Alabama for my military transfer of station move. "Reliable" Carriers charged my credit card the full cost of transporting my vehicle ($1,144) when I contracted for their services, but 3 weeks later they still would not pick up my vehicle. I repeatedly contacted the Reliable Carriers service rep, Mr. Al Abrams, who told me each time I called that they don't currently have any plans to pick up my vehicle, but "it looks good for later this week"...or "it looks good for next week" depending on what day of the week I happened to call. Due to my intense frustration in dealing with a company that was not receptive to providing a service that was directly in line with its core competencies and that I already paid for, I was forced to "fire" this company and contract with AmeriFreight. Amerifreight was responsive and professional; they were able to secure enclosed transportation for my vehicle within two days of contacting them and my car was safely delivered to me in Alabama within 4 days of its pickup. I will never use Reliable Carriers again. To this day, I remain shocked at a business practice that charges customers for a service but does not provide the service that it promises.
