Julie at Red Carpet Auto did a fantastic job working with me to ship in a project '76 Datsun 620 truck from Oregon to Hawaii. Not only did she keep me updated with real time information on the statuses of the vehicle pick up, loading onto the ship, ship sail dates, etc., but she was also able to undercut the competitors prices by a couple hundred dollars. To have the truck towed from the previous owner's house to the docks, loaded onto the ship, and landed in Hawaiian soil, cost me a total of $1250. The next nearest competitor, whom I have shipped with before, offered to get the job done for $1500.

The initial phone call to begin the shipping process was on Oct. 8th, with an expected delivery date of Nov. 1st. The truck landed on Oct. 28th and Matson did not contact her, nor I that the truck was ready for pick up. When she found out on Oct. 31st, she immediately contacted me to inform me that it was available, and that if I was not able to pick up the truck they would begin a $6.88 storage fee (after three days from initial pick up date), which Julie said she would get waived. I think it's awesome that she would go out of her way to save me money when it should be Matson's responsibility to contact me.

I would not hesitate to call Julie again and I have already begun recommending her to friends who are thinking of bringing in their own projects to Hawaii.
